08/02/2010 CSL posts record sales

Wigan-based sofa retailer CSL has reported a 51% increase in total sales for the year ended 31 December 2009, with turnover reaching a record £72.5m (2008: £48m).

 

Revealing that profits at the 16-store retailer increased from £713,000 to £4.8m in the same period, like-for-likes for the four weeks to 3 January were up 61%.

 

The retailer attributed part of its success to its continued investment in customer service and quality, fuelled by its recently launched 72-hour delivery promotion.
