29/03/2010 Furniture from Down-Under launches in UK

Online furniture store Milan Direct has launched into the UK with a new website, www.milandirect.co.uk.

Milan Direct set up its UK warehouse in Bedfordshire at the end of 2009, and is now operating via the website.

The Australia-based company's UK site offers 20th century design furniture, from sofas and coffee tables to office furniture.

Dean Ramler, Milan Direct's managing director, said: “For several years now we’ve been providing a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget to thousands of happy customers across Australia and New Zealand. Our business model is to sell online, direct from the factory, saving our customers hundreds of pounds.”
