17/11/2008 London Furniture Show postponed
The London Furniture Show organisers, Insight Exhibitions, has announced that it is postponing the launch of the new show until 2010.
Managing Director of Insight Exhibitions, David Wilkins, said: “Having been in constant communication with my principle exhibitors, the impact of the ‘credit crunch’ on the furniture sector has been painfully obvious. Whilst they and I are convinced that a new London-centric, Furniture Show is very much needed, its timing is vitally important. With business predicted to get worse before it gets better, it is just plain common sense for us to re-think when best to launch a brand new show. With the full support of those manufacturers that have already signed up, this will now be May 2010.”
