The Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC) Retail Sales Monitor has reported that sales were 4.5% up on last year.

However, despite the rise in total sales, the SRC reported that like-for-like sales were only 0.1% higher than in October 2007, when they'd risen 2.0%.
