03/07/2009 Slight furniture improvement

Furniture showed a slight sales improvement in the week ending 28 June according to the latest BDO Stoy Hayward High Street Sales Tracker.

Despite the improvement, demand in the Homewares sector remained generally muted with like-for-like sales down 5.6%.
