Furniture retailer Anglia Home Furnishings (AHF) has revealed it has been awarded for a third year running as a Disability Confident employer.

Formerly known as ‘Two-Ticks’, the Disability Confident status recognises employers who recruits, supports, develops and retains those with disabilities and health conditions.

AHF said that by building a reputation as a Disability Confident employer that actively seeks out and hires skilled disabled people, AHF will be helping to positively change attitudes, behaviours and cultures, not just in its immediate business but in its networks, supply chains, and within the surrounding communities.

Karl Lea, head of human resources at AHF, said: “Through Disability Confident we are working to challenge attitudes towards disability, increase understanding of disability and remove barriers to disabled people and those with long term health conditions in employment.

“We ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfill their potential and realise their aspirations.”
