Scottish furniture chain Gillies of Broughty Ferry Limited recorded ‘another successful’ year with investment in both new premises and staff numbers contributing to the continued growth.

The four-store company, which trades across outlets located in Aberdeen, Broughty Ferry, Perth and Montrose, enjoyed a 5.9% year-on-year uptick in turnover for the year ended 31 August 2015.

Gillies reported a slight increase in Net Profit to £1.766m, net assets stood at £17.5m, providing the company with a strong financial base to support its trading activities.

During the period the company made significant investment in new premises, expanding its warehouse capacity, as well as refurbishing its stores. The company also increased its staffing levels bringing the total number of staff employed to over 150.
