Biesse Group UK will be displaying a wide range of woodworking machinery on two stands - A510 and N610 – at this year’s woodworking machinery and materials exhibition, W16, from the 2nd-5th October at the Birmingham NEC.

Biesse’s W16 offering will emphasise SMART working: Smart, Measurably, Achievable, Realistic, Timed - the basic principles to establish a lean manufacturing process.

Making its UK debut on Biesse’s largest stand, A510, the W4 PRS (panel return system) with Stream A edgebander will be demonstrating its ability to eliminate time losses and increase output by up to 25%. The Italian manufacturer will also be displaying its Sektor beamsaw and Rover B FT with new K3 Winstore board storage and loading system.

The machinery giant will also be displaying a range of machines designed exclusively for the smaller manufacture and sold through Biesse’s distribution channel on stand N610. Local dealers will be demonstrating seven machines throughout the four-day event, including the Active 400 panel saw, Spark 2.3 edgebander and the Rover J 1530 machining centre, as part of Biesse’s growth plan to better support the important grass roots sector of manufacturing.

Robbie O’Neill, Commercial Manager at Biesse Group UK adds, “We are all too aware of the challenges our customers face, including the future revisions to the minimum working wage, the cost and availability of floor space, not to mention the rising cost of materials. Fortunately the UK manufacturing base has a real appreciation of using innovation as a tool to combat this continual evolution of the manufacturing landscape. Biesse recognises this, which is why we will show a number of solutions at W16 that will help many of our customers to alleviate the impact of these potential added costs and help by adding margin to the bottom line.”
