International bedroom event Bridge has announced that Spanish sofa business Mayor Tapizados has secured a stand at this year’s show.

Founded in 1985, Mayor Tapizados is a family run business based in Yecla, Murica, and plans to showcases its recently created sofa bed collection at Bridge 16 after signing up to a 35m2 stand in the Glass room of the exhibition.

The news of the Spanish confirmation follows the announcement of Italian mattress manufacturer Alessanderx Group, which has also signed up as an exhibitor for this year’s event.

Founded in the 1960s Alessanderx Group includes the Magniflex and Relaxan brands. The confirmation adds to the continuous exhibitor list growth, which has seen an influx of European companies signing up for the show.

Based at the Ironbridge Gorge Museum in Coalbrooke, Telford, Bridge 16 will take place on 20-21 September 2016, with an additional afternoon added on the 19 September for the Show Preview.

Organising duo, Maud Laine and Mark Tunstall are back to host its second show, which has seen the number of exhibitors expand, as firms from Spain and Italy have joined forces with last year’s previous exhibitors.

Maud commented: “Following on from a first year success, we are back to expand on the international taste for the event. Concentrating on keeping a personal and curated feel to the exhibition, returning past exhibitors and new European manufacturers will be joining in.

“Mayor has secured a 35m2 stand in the Glass room, which will feature a ‘shop display window’ mock up. Mayor is already present in the UK with sofas and therefore have all processes in place to secure a reliable and professional supply to the UK retailers, with their sofa bed collection.”
