Homewares and accessories giant Cath Kidston has confirmed the appointment of Michael Engelhaupt as its new head of Latin America, as the business plots its expansion in the Americas.
Michael, who has joined from Under Armour International, is responsible to lead the group’s rollout into the Latin America market.
Commenting on the appointment, Kenny Wilson, CEO of Cath Kidston, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Michael is joining the Cath Kidston team. His appointment is significant and exciting. Cath Kidston does not as yet have any stores in the Americas and Michael is tasked with leading the expansion of the Cath Kidston brand into Latin America.
“The Cath Kidston footprint keeps growing - we are opening our first stores in India this autumn and more stores are being opened in Japan and the Middle East. And in the UK this year we are driving positive like for like sales reflecting the strength and success of our affordable, fun, British, vintage-inspired products.”
Commenting on his appointment, Michael Engelhaupt said: “I am very excited to be working on bringing Cath Kidston to Latin America. This is a big project and I am delighted to be starting work.”
