Two-store retail business Cookes Furniture has announced the launch of its new Duresta for Matthew Williamson collection, as it continues to celebrate 70 years of trading.

Recognised as one of the most well known independent furniture companies in the UK, the Midlands-based family-owned retailer has welcomed the first ever bespoke furniture collection by British fashion designer Matthew Williamson and Nottingham based sofa manufacturer Duresta, which launches this month.

Matthew Williamson has worked with the Duresta team to reinterpret classic and contemporary furniture styles before combining them with an exclusive range of bold fabrics.

Vanessa Hoe, marketing director at Cookes Furniture, said: “As a store with a 70 year heritage in the Midlands we are so proud to support this brand new collection. We have a long standing relationship with Duresta and know that our customers will absolutely love this new bespoke range of furniture”

Cookes was established in 1946 and continues to operate its two stores in Erdington, near Birmingham, and Christchurch, Dorset.
