German components manufacturer, Casetur Mechanism, has won an Elements of Innovation Award, sponsored by Ney, for its space-saving furniture mechanism.
Debuting the unique product for the first time in the UK at the Elements exhibition, the prestigious award was presented to the inventor, Ben Casetur, at the show.
The product has been engineered for horizontal applications and allows a work surface to be transformed neatly into a compact shelf using a smooth two-step rotation. The mechanism, which can be rotated to 90 degrees, enables the workspace to rotate even when placed in a corner, allowing it to be used in the most compact of spaces.
Benjamin Halde said: “I really didn’t expect to win the award. The competition was really high. It feels good to win and the after affects of the exposure will help me in the UK, adding credibility to the product.”
