Home furnishings retailer Dunelm has announced that its new Nottingham store will open its doors for the first time on 1 June 2016.

The new 36,000sq ft store, based in Queens Drive, will create 40 new jobs for the area and will stock more than 20,000 products, with specialised furniture and bedroom departments.

To celebrate the launch, which will be officially opened by Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Councillor Mohammed Saghir and Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team captain David Clarke, Dunelm are offering the first 50 customers a free gift as well as a chance to win a £500 instore voucher.

John Browett, Dunelm chief executive, spoke to the Nottingham Post: “We are excited about our new relocated store in Nottingham and want to invite the community to come and celebrate our new home in Queens Drive on Wednesday.

“It takes a lot of hard work, investment and commitment when relocating a store and getting the new store up and running, and we are delighted to welcome Councillor Mohammed Saghir and players from the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team to assist our colleagues in opening the doors for the very first time.”
