Home furnishing retailer Dunelm is reportedly set to pump £1.5m of investment into a derelict building in Redditch.
According to the Redditch Standard, Dunelm will be taking over a site on Grove Street in the town to create its latest store.
The new 30,000sq ft retail premises will feature a separate mezzanine floor, café and more than 20,000 products, as well as creating 30 new jobs.
Dunelm store manager, Mark Tomkins, told the newsource: “We are looking forward to becoming a new neighbour to the Redditch community.
“There is a strong retail offering within the town but we’ve spotted a gap in the market for Dunelm’s extensive collection of homewares and hope we can cater for the diverse range of shoppers within the community.
An opening day event for the new store is currently planned for Monday 3 October.
