West Yorkshire-based fabric supplier Mobus has reported a fourth successive rise in turnover for the year ended 30 September 2015.
According to the latest filed accounts, total sales grew by 18.4% to £16.7m from £14.1m in 2014, while gross profit also experienced a growth of 20% to £3m from £2.5m.
Mobus revealed that its sales grew in each of its markets, with the UK its leading market, with sales up by 15%. European sales almost doubled in the year, up by 72.1%, while sales in China and USA markets improved by 21% and 20.9% respectively.
Operating profit registered an uptick of 21.4% to £1.7m, with overall profit for the year under review swelling by 18.1% to £1.3m from its recorded profit of £1.1m last year.
Commenting within the report, Mobus said: “The company has continued to grow during 2015. Since the year-end the company has maintained its performance and remains in a strong position. It is the intention to continue to expand our customer base.”
Mobus, which manufactures upholstery fabrics, was established in 1994 and is situated in Elland, employing over 70 staff worldwide.
