An independent flooring business has announced a series of investments to mark its 30th anniversary.

Stornoway-based Carpet World, which was founded by Dolan Morrison three decades ago, has launched a brand new mobile carpet library, stocked with a variety of ranges to take the shop to customers own homes.

As well as creating a shop-on-wheels concept, the company has decided to rebrand its Keith Street premises to ‘World of Rugs’ and has expanded its offer, displaying a larger range of rugs and solid flooring.

Commenting to local press, the Stornoway Gazette, Dolan said: “The past 30-years have been fantastic and we’d like to thank all our customers over the years for their custom and help and God willing, we’ll be here another 30 too.”
