Daventry-based independent furniture business Home Joinery has suffered a fire in its workshop.
The blaze broke out around 4:20pm on 22 June 2016 at its premises in Station Close, with the cause under investigation by Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Three fire engines were dispatched to tackle the flames, with numerous firefighters attending the incident, as crews managed to extinguish the fire around 5pm.
The family run business, which manufactures and retails its bespoke furniture through its workshop and showroom, confirmed that ‘delays’ are expected due to the ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
In a statement on Home Joinery Co’s official Facebook page, it read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be a delay on existing delivery targets for any bespoke orders that were in progress, or, completed jobs that were awaiting delivery.
“We should like to thank our customers for their patience during this period and aim to get back up to speed as quickly as possible.”
A spokesperson for the Northamptonshire Fire Service commented: “Our crews were faced with a fire that was believed to be on a mezzanine floor in the single storey building which was smoke-logged and affecting both adjacent properties.
“We were informed there were no people inside the building. Fire investigators will now examine the building to try and determine the cause of the fire.”
