Family run online retailer The Orchard Home & Gifts has announced it is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the launch of a brand new website, investing around £10,000.

Startling life as an eBay store back in 2006, The Orchard has relaunched its new website,, with a re-branded logo and will be followed by the commissioning of a new in-house paint finishing facility for their bespoke British made furniture collections, Old English Painted and Rustic.

Both ranges are due to double in size this year creating more UK employment and reducing the dependency on overseas imports.

To commemorate the anniversary The Orchard will also be launching a charity initiative with fruit trees being donated to local schools and an on-going charity project via the website to support British woodland.

Mat Brown, managing partner, said: “We are really proud of what we have achieved to date as a tiny family business. Our first decade has seen us trade through the most tumultuous time in the UK economy so only now do we feel we are truly getting going.

“We want to really grow from this point and the planting of trees seemed a perfect symbolic idea to mark the occasion.”

The Orchard trades via its online presence and has a small factory showroom at its premises in Leicestershire.
