Family run furniture and outdoor living firm Crooklands of Dalton has confirmed it plans to close at the end of the month as it prepares to begin a major refurbishment investing £1m.

Crooklands operates a large garden and furniture centre in Dalton, Cumbria, and revealed that it plans to change its name under a ‘big reveal’ project that is currently under wraps.

The revamp, which aims to be completed by early October, will see the business expand its furniture offering by introducing an interiors segment to its existing furniture and garden products.

To incorporate the new space, Crooklands said it would close its function room to accommodate the interiors business.

The company said it will officially close on 30 August to allow works to begin and is currently holding a ‘massive stock clearance’ as the countdown to the big reveal nears.

Crooklands Of Dalton is a family run firm, run by Marc, Jules, Leeanne and Llewellyn Charnley, who have been heavily involved in the garden sector for over 30 years.
