Luxury interior furnishing group Walker Greenbank has announced the appointment of Fiona Holmes as its new managing director for brands.

Fiona, who joins from N Brown Group after seven years at the retailer, will join the company’s board as an executive director and will replace current managing director David Smallridge, who plans to retire in January 2017.

Joining the business in Autumn 2016, Fiona will takeover the role to lead the firm’s brands, which include Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin, Zoffany, Scion and Anthology, from David, who will remain on the board during the handover period.

The news follows the recent appointment of Paul Mullan, who joined in March this year, as its new managing director of manufacturing, a newly created role in which he will have responsibility for the Company’s factories in Lancaster and Loughborough.

John Sach, Walker Greenbank’s chief executive, commented: “I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Holmes as managing director for Brands, succeeding David Smallridge who retires from Walker Greenbank next year.

“Fiona brings a wealth of brand and multi-channel retail experience, gained in a broad variety of roles at major and smaller businesses. I look forward to her input in driving the strategic direction and growth of our brands.”
