Multichannel retailer John Lewis has reported another strong performance from furniture as beds and bedroom drive sales.

According to its latest weekly sales figures to 25 June 2016, total revenues climbed by 7.3% to £96.7m, with furniture sales showing good growth, up by 14.2%.

Also within the Home sector, bed and bedroom furniture experienced a strong week, with sales up by 19.7%, while living and dining furniture followed suit, as sales grew by 19.4%.

Despite the unpredictable weather seen in parts of the country, sales in outdoor living finished rose by 9.7%, resulting in a strong week for John Lewis Home categories, with overall Home sector sales ending the week up at 9.5%.
