British furniture designer and manufacturer Gallery Direct has celebrated a 24% sales increase at the January Furniture Show and continues its investment in this years’ collection by signing up to its next big UK event, with a 144sq m stand at the Autumn Fair, which takes place from 3-6 September at the NEC.

Peter Delaney, MD at Gallery Direct told Cabinet Maker: “The January Furniture Show was really good for us. The acid test is always reaction from customers and having orders up 24% on last year is testament to the content, presentation and preparation that went into the show.

“All of our new product introductions went really well. It was the strongest new launch of mirrors and accessories for a while. We saw orders across the board, including our new extensive stocked range of upholstery, which was really pleasing. The most successful furniture range had to be the Mustique Collection – the response was excellent and we’re now looking to develop a bedroom range.”

“Outside of the January Furniture Show, the Autumn Fair is our next best platform. It’s a good event for the pre-Christmas sales push and will co-ordinate nicely with our Autumn/Winter launches. It is also a good platform to advise on any discontinued products before we bring in the next round of new product launches.”
