Home furnishings retailer Glasswells has announced the latest winners of its recent competitions in celebration of the family businesses 70th anniversary.

Glasswells revealed that A. Hudson from Haverhill has won its Cambridge News competition, with £800 going towards their Parker Knoll furniture order, while Darren Cook has won its selfie competition – launched at the Suffolk show earlier this month, who has won a Weber BBQ set.

The Bury St. Edmonds-based business, which was established in 1946, is marking 70 years of trading with a year full of competitions for its customers.

Richard Ball, buying/director at Glasswells, said: “2016 is a very special year for Glasswells, marking 70 years of trading in East Anglia. We opened our first small shop in Brentgovel Street in 1946 and from there have grown to be the largest home furnishings store in the region.

“We’ve got lots of competitions and giveaways planned for the year; it’s our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers and the local community who have helped Glasswells reach this very important milestone. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Hudson, and to Darren Cook.”
