Discount homewares chain Home Bargains has confirmed that it plans to open a new store in Hull, creating 50 jobs.

The new 18,000sq ft store will be situated on the Kingston Retail Park and will officially open on 23 July 2016, after the firm – which boasts a store estate of over 370 across the UK, invested £500,000 in the new site.

Home Bargains also revealed that it plans to open a further 11 stores over the next few months, with an outlet in Birmingham launching on the same date as Hull, while one in Banbridge opens on 30 July.

Stores in Morpeth, Manchester, County Down – Northern Ireland and Bradford all open in August, while Chester, Letchworth, Wantage and Ashfield are set to launch in September, with Penrith in Cumbria opening in October.

The news follows its recent opening in Exmouth back in April earlier this year, which also created 50 new jobs.
