Multichannel retailer John Lewis has delivered another positive week of sales, reporting a ‘steady’ Home performance.

According to its latest weekly sales figures to 11 June 2016, total sales were up by 1.5% to £71m, with sales within its Home sector showing an uptick of 1.1%.

Mark Felix, director of online trade, John Lewis, said: “Total sales this week were £71.0m, +1.5% on last year. The lower year on year increase followed a strong week last week, due to the fall of half term.

“Home sales were steady, +1.1% on last year. Within this category, Home Accessories and Gifts had a good week +15.4%. Outdoor living delivered a particularly strong result against last year.”
