Independent furniture and homewares business Estilo has revealed it is trailing a pop-up shop in Kendal, Cumbria.

The company, which was founded by Hannah Northey and Lee Jackson back at Christmas last year, moved into the pop-up premises on Finkle Street, earlier this month and plans to stay until 30 July 2016.

The idea is to trial a physical store presence before committing to a long-term high street lease, with the company mainly trading online.

Estilo also confirmed the launch of its new transactional website earlier this year in May,, with its products featuring a Scandinavian influence.

Commenting on the pop-up to local press, Hannah said: “We think the pop-up shop is a great idea, as we were wary of committing to a long-term shop lease, and this gives us the perfect opportunity to try out trading on the high street to see how it works for us.”
