Yorkshire furniture retailer Barker and Stonehouse has confirmed the reopening of its Darlington store after completing a major £250,000 overhaul.
The new-look store, which is situated on Victoria Road on the edge of the town centre, features new lighting, new floors, new layouts and a new entrance and staircase.
After taking six months to complete the project, the six-figure investment aims to give its customer a better shopping experience and adds to the already confirmed plans of expanding by opening a new store in Guildford.
Earlier this year Barker and Stonehouse submitted plans to Guildford Borough Council to knock down the old Guildford fire station to make way for a new purpose built two-story outlet with around 62 car parking spaces.
Commenting on the relaunch of its Darlington store, Barker and Stonehouse said: “Over the last 6 months we have invested over £250,000 in our Darlington store so you can enjoy an all new state-of-the-art shopping experience. We’re showcasing all of the latest Barker and Stonehouse looks, filled with sumptuous designs and trusted brands.”
