Multichannel retailer John Lewis has reported a ‘good’ week of trading with all categories contributing a positive performance.
According to its latest weekly trading figures to 6 August 2016, total sales were up by 7.3% to £73.7m on last year. Within its Home category, outdoor living continued to drive sales, up by 13.3% as the warm weather helped boost revenue.
Total Home category sales were 5.4% up on last year, with its collaboration with online furniture retailer Loaf proving to be very successful, which also ‘bolstered’ sales.
Elsewhere, John Lewis reported an increase in sales in both Fashion and Electricals & Home Technology categories, up by 5.4% and 11.2% respectively.
