Kitchen specialist John Lewis of Hungerford has announced the appointment of Kenneth McNaught as its new non-executive chairman.

Kenneth replaces founder John Lewis, who had taken the role on an interim basis over the past few months and remains a non-executive director.

John Lewis of Hungerford said that Kenneth, who has recently been a board consultant to Boeing Defence, Babcock International and GKN, has the drive and ambition to develop the next phase of strategic goals for the business.

Commenting on his appointment, John Lewis, who started the company in 1972, said: “Kenneth’s key strengths are essentially sales and manufacturing, which align with the two main competencies of our business.

“We are delighted that Kenneth has agreed to lead the Board and welcome him to the team.”
