Furniture retail brand JYSK has revealed it plans to open its first stores in Belgium next year, marking a milestone of having a presence in all major European countries.

In April 2017 JYSK plans to rollout 50 outlets across Belgium, with Frank Christant, country manager for JYSK in Holland and Belgium, excited about the opportunity to expand the brand.

Frank said: “JYSK has become very popular in Holland, and I hope that this will also be the case in Belgium. I feel that JYSK can really contribute to the market and offer something new to Belgian consumers. Not only through our assortment but through our approach towards customers and customer service as well.

“We open in Belgium with the knowledge that we are new to the Belgian consumers, and that we have to offer something extraordinary to be successful. The best employees and the best service are crucial, and that is why we have already started looking for the right people and building a great organisation.”

Founded in 1979 by Lars Larsen in the Danish city of Aarhus, JYSK has more than 2,300 stores in 41 different countries.
