Lighting firm Efficient Light has revealed it plans to expand following a hike in its online sales.
The Plymouth-based business has reported an influx of ecommerce sales, which now represent 70% of trade following its new website launch last year.
Now, the company plans to expand its physical presence from its current 2,000sq ft showroom to a unit five times the size at 10,000sq ft. The move would see the company remain in Plymouth and potentially create a number of new jobs.
Commenting to local press, The Herald, managing director, Giles Boardman said: “We’re growing very fast. It’s mainly due to new distribution channels. We are on an upward trajectory.”
Efficient Light supplies products from five UK manufacturers and 15 international sources from across Europe and the Far East, whilst also confirming it plans to expand into other means of online platforms through eBay and Amazon.
