Plymouth-based bed manufacturer Vi-Spring has seen sales rise for a sixth straight year, surpassing the £40m milestone.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015, total sales grew 4.3% to £40.3m from £38.7m in 2014. Gross profit also experienced an uptick of 3.1% to £19.9m from £19.3m.
Pre-tax profit saw a growth of 50.9% to £7.7m from £5.1m recorded last year, whilst overall net assets improved to £12.2m from £8.5m.
Stated within its strategic report, Vi-Spring highlighted that it enjoyed a steady increase in export revenue, with international sales expected to grow year-on-year.
Founded in 1901, Vi-Spring handcrafts its luxury made beds at its Devon factory, and has established a sales presence in more than 30 countries.
