Yorkshire-based bed manufacturer Duvalay has confirmed that the recent NBF Bed Show has been a ‘roaring success’.
Taking place last month at the Telford International Centre, Duvalay revealed that the show drove sales across its Hilary Devey Collection, as well as developing potential leads with a network of new bed retailers.
During the show, Duvalay unveiled a number of new features and products, including the addition of two new premium mattresses – The Diamond-Luxe and Emerald, and a range of fabrics for its new collection of headboards.
Also launching at the Bed Show was an innovative new natural filling, called Wooltec® offering a more breathable mattress as well as MidasTouch, a unique spring system that has been specially designed.
Liz Colleran, sales and marketing director, said: “The Bed Show 2016 has been our most successful to date, with orders exceeding our projections. Feedback on the new launches was positive and very encouraging with current and new retailers listing our latest additions.
“A key objective for the company was to develop new relationships with retailers across the UK and the show provided us with an ideal platform to do just that. Feedback has been very positive, with many retailers commenting they were surprised by the level of quality and luxury features for the cost of the mattresses.”
Founded by husband and wife team, Alan and Liz Colleran, Duvalay featured on the BBC’s Dragon Den’s in 2011, where Entrepreneur Hilary Devey took the decision to purchase 26% of the business, which has now seen turnover increase by 200%.
