The Furniture Makers Company has announced that office furniture manufacturer Boss Design Group has won the inaugural Export Award.
The award will be presented to Boss Design at a special Export and Growth event being organised by the British Furniture Confederation at the House of Commons next week on Tuesday 11 October 2016, with a second to take place on 25 October at the Furniture Makers’ Royal Charter Dinner at Skinners’ Hall, London.
Part of The Furniture Makers’ Company’s Manufacturing Guild Mark, the Export Award was launched in 2016 to recognise excellence in promoting and selling British manufactured furniture, bedding and furnishings to overseas markets.
Manufacturing Guild Mark chairman Paul von der Heyde said: “Boss Design Group has significantly increased export sales throughout Europe, the Middle East and Far East, and the USA, through the investment in manufacturing facilities, manufacturing licensees, and precision geographical targeted marketing.
“With 20% of its employees now allied to international business, and 70% of projected growth emanating from exports, the company is a revered international brand that is committed to long-term international business growth. They are a worthy winner.”
