Organisers of continental trade exhibition The Brussels Furniture Fair 2016 has revealed that the show is ‘looking good’ in the build up to the November event.
Taking place from 6-9 November 2016 at the Brussels Expo in Belgium, the event showcases a variety of exhibitors from across Europe within the contemporary furniture manufacture and design sectors, as well as bedroom specialists.
Currently 233 exhibitors have signed up for a space at the show including renowned brands Nolte, Rauch, Tetrad and By-Boo, although the number has reduced by 15.2% from the 275 that exhibited last year.
The fair, which is divided into six segments across six halls and a patio, predominantly features exhibitors from Belgium, which represents 87 of the company list – down from 95 last year, whilst other key nations including the Netherlands at 63 (down from 82), Germany at 16 (down from 22), Italy at 18 (down from 23) and France at 11 (also down by two compared to 2015). Tetrad is the only UK exhibitor for 2016.
Visitor numbers are expected to be in line with last year, which saw an overall growth of 0.82% compared to 2014, as 19,296 visitors flocked to the fair. The Netherlands saw a growth of 4% in visitor numbers, whilst Belgian, French and the UK & Ireland saw a footfall decline of 1.85%, 3.83% and 1.22% respectively.
