Manchester-based fitted furniture design and manufacturer Neville Johnson has reported a sixth successive rise in sales as turnover almost breaches the £30m mark.
Neville Johnson, which is part of the Bhid Group, posted a 9% uptick in sales to £29.8m from £27.3m in its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2016.
Gross profit also registered an increase by 7% to £16.7m from £15.6m, whilst overall profit for the year remained flat at £2.1m with its end of year cash bank balance up to £2.1m.
In overall group terms, Bhid (Bespoke Home Interior Design) reported a sharp increase in sales by 15% to £43.7m from £19.9m in 2015, with the other arm of its business, kitchen specialist Tom Howley, also generating an uptick of 30% in revenues.
The group achieved earnings before depreciation, amortisation of goodwill and Neville Johnson’s sofa launch costs – which launched early part of the 2017 financial year – of £4.2m.
Bhid also indicated that the new financial year has started well supported by a strong order book.
