Soft furnishings manufacturer Evans Textile has reported a growth in both turnover and profits in its latest set of results for the year ended 30 April 2016.
According to the accounts filed at Companies House, total sales generated an increase of 6% to £11.6m from £10.9m in 2015, as well as growing its gross profit by 5% to £3.9m from £3.7m.
Pre-tax profit registered an uptick of 10.3% to £786,207 from £712,996 recorded last year, whilst substantially growing its end of year cash bank balance to more than £490,000 from just over £72,000 in 2015.
During the period, the company said within its filed report that steady growth throughout the year had been forecasted and overall budgets have been achieved.
Manchester-based Evans also indicated that during this financial year the company will be targeting export markets as well as highlighting the benefit of homegrown production as the UK prepares for Brexit.
