Floorcoverings firm Headlam Group has announced the appointment of Steve Wilson as its new chief executive officer with immediate effect, following the Tony Brewer deciding to step down from the role.
Steve, who has been the group’s finance director since 1991, brings an in-depth knowledge of the company’s operations and will maintain an ‘oversight of the finance function’ until an appointment into his previous role has been secured.
Furthermore, Headlam has announced the appointment of Tony Judge, who has worked at the group for more than 24 years, as its new chief operating officer.
Dick Peters, Headlam’s chairman, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Tony Brewer for his enormous contribution to the building of Headlam into Europe’s leading floorcovering distributor. We wish him well for the future.”
In a statement issued last month, Headlam said: “Our market appears to be robust and, subject to the key trading period in the run-up to Christmas, the board remains confident of achieving full year expectations.” This position remains unchanged.
