Proposed look of new factory and HQ in Leamington

Furniture manufacturer Vitsoe has confirmed plans that it is to relocate its headquarters and factory in south Leamington.

Currently based in London, Vitsoe has decided to move its base to the former Ford Foundry site, with a target to be up and running by Spring 2017.

It is expected that the new site will create around 200 new jobs and will serve as a better network resource due to the road and rail connections.

Vitsoe also said that the new building would offer operational and cost improvements via its adaptability and energy efficiency.

The new follows Vitsoe’s latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015, with reported sales of £6.42m, up by 17% from £5.48m in 2014. The company posted a pre-tax profit of £349,441, an increase of £672,000 compared to its loss of £322,245 last year.

Based in the UK since 1995, Vitsoe was established in Germany in 1959 to make the furniture of renowned German industrial designer Dieter Rams.
