Cabinet Maker finds out why September could be the most exciting month yet for Highgate Beds.
Just as orange is the new black, there has been a lot of talk as we entered the ninth month of the year that September may be the new January. For while we all associated the start of the year with attempting new beginnings and fresh starts, what better time of year to actually get yourself in gear and attempt something serious than September? We already have the added incentive of getting the kids ready for the start of their new school year and, unlike January, we aren’t still suffering the effects of Christmas indulgences. The weather is beginning to cool, while still staying mostly dry, and we’re hopefully managing to maintain the hard-earned healthy glow we brought back from our holidays.
Yes, here at Cabinet Maker we’re definitely in favour of September starts, and a big part of that will be because of the myriad of new launches and innovations we’re looking forward to seeing next week as part of the NBF Bed Show. Among these, of course, will be Dewsbury-based bed specialist, Highgate Beds, who have spent the last few months preparing for what looks set to be a very important month in its calendar.
Not only will they be exhibiting at Telford’s International Centre, but the business will also be celebrating the launch of its newly constructed website, as Highgate Beds’ sales director, Zahid Ayub, tells us: “It has taken a year in the making, but everything on there has been written in house, meaning it is exactly representing Highgate Beds, and the Healthopaedic brand, and one which we can proudly say is us. We shall be launching it ready for people to be informed of it, and look forward to people’s reactions, when they browse our little portal into Highgate Beds.”
Meanwhile, at the company’s stand at the show, which runs for two days from Tuesday 20 September, Highgate Beds is planning to showcase even more expansions within its Healthopaedic range, as well as two brand new designs for the Zero Gravity family.
Says Zahid: “Healthopaedic is a brand which has perfected the art of sleeping comfort, and we’re always trying to keep that luxurious comfort on going with any product launch. It was a technology developed to ensure the ultimate in not only luxury in feel, but also complete comfort, and we made sure our helping hand in creating the Zero Gravity, meant we can be proud to use such an exclusive product.”
Since the launch of Highgate Beds’ first Zero Gravity mattress, the company has ensured that no year could come and go without the release of another exciting product for the range. This included the sumptuous Zero Gravity 3000, the delicate Assenza and Kernow, a product originally developed for the South West market, to suit its Cornish name.
The business then went on to develop what it describes as more ‘luxurious and decadent’ Classic range, within the Healthopaedic brand. Full of sumptuous natural fillings within the various mattresses, such as lamb’s wool, cashmere and silk, the mattresses come in a variety of pocket counts for the softer feel, down to the firmer feel. The Monet 5000, with intricate detailing on the mattress fabric, and a deep filled interior, is sure to turn heads while other mattress types within the Classic range include the Mozart, Renoir and Elegance, which not only look amazing, but live up to their gorgeous names.
“All of our products are produced by looking to see not only what people want, but seeing who is buying it from us, and putting a personal touch on them, to ensure they know the development is for them” Zahid explains, continuing:
“With our two main ranges now, Zero Gravity and Classic, we definitely have something to suit all, and we have worked tirelessly to create these with the end user in mind, so that we know these are at the top of the most comfortable beds available, and are our best creations yet.”
As well as focusing on products, which is obviously at the heart of any good business Highgate Beds has heavily invested this year in welcoming visitors to its 3000 sq ft showroom. Located on the same premises as the company’s warehouse and manufacturing facility, the showroom boasts all of Highgate Beds’ newly made and developed mattresses. With the various fabric colours, in vibrant shades or classic tones, it is really eye catching when walking into the plush carpeted showroom in the heart of Yorkshire, and well worth a visit if you can’t catch up with the business when it exhibits on stand H60 of the NBF Bed Show next week - or even if you can.
