Luxury interior furnishings group Walker Greenbank has announced the appointment of Fiona Holmes as its new managing director for brands.

Previously announced back on 8 June 2016, Fiona has officially joined the company and also sits on the board as executive director.

Fiona joins the company from retailer N Brown Group plc, where she has worked for the past seven years most recently as the managing director of figleaves.com.

Walker Greenbank has also confirmed that it has received a further interim insurance payment of £2.025m following last year’s flood at its Standfast & Barracks, the company’s fabric printing factory in Lancaster.

The latest payment, in respect of damage to business assets and loss of profits, adds to the insurance payments already received of £12.05m in the company’s ongoing claim following the flood in December 2015.

A further, associated, insurance payment of £225,000 is expected shortly ahead of further payments to be received in due course under the Company’s policy, which covers flood damage and business interruption until December 2017.

Walker Greenbank, whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co. and Harlequin, said that ‘full production has returned to Standfast & Barracks’ and the ‘restocking of printed fabrics at the company’s Milton Keynes warehouse is almost complete’.
