Upholstered furniture and floorings retailer ScS has revealed that its sales order intake has once again increased as ‘momentum’ continues to build after the two ‘key’ May Bank Holidays.

ScS, which has 97 stores nationwide, posted a total like-for-like sales rise by 14.6% for the 45 weeks ended 4 June 2016, adding to its already impressive start to the year when ScS reported a total like-for-like sales order intake growth of 8.8% and 12% for the 25 weeks ended 16 January 2016 and for the first 37 weeks of the year respectively.

Due to the strong performance, ScS said that the Group expects to post profits ‘ahead of current market expectations’, therefore ‘significantly’ upgrading its forecast.

David Knight, chief executive officer of ScS commented: "We are delighted that trading through the two key May Bank Holidays exceeded our initial expectations and the Group continues to show excellent progress on a like for like basis in all retail categories."
