West Midlands-based furniture manufacturer Mereway is celebrating 30 years in business by pledging to raise £30,000 for selective charities.
Mereway, which specialises in kitchens, bedroom and bathroom furniture, confirmed that the four main charities the majority of the raised funds will go to Acorns, The Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, Help for Heroes and Helping Harry Help Others, with the remaining money being donated to local charities.
To celebrate the milestone, Mereway’s 260 staff gathered for a commemorative company photograph alongside a cake cutting presentation.
Bob Norris, managing director, commented: “We have come a long way since my brother, Richard, and I worked in the fledgling business, delivering the kitchens ourselves but we are not ready to rest on our laurels and have plans to double the size of the company over the next five years.
“We are delighted to take this opportunity to share the celebrations with all of our staff and are grateful for their continued support and participation in all of our charities activities for the year.”
