Textiles, fabric and soft furnishings wholesaler Globaltex Limited has posted another strong year of continued sales, as focus within the North American and Far East markets pays dividends.
According to the latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015, total revenues climbed 11.7% to £19.9m from £17.8m last year, with both non-EU and EU sales producing significant growth, up by 20.4% and 17.9% respectively.
Gross profit also experienced an uptick by 19.4% to £8.6m from £7.2m, while overall profit for the year under review grew by 26.9% to £3.3m from £2.6m in 2014.
Globaltex, which trades under the alias Clarke & Clarke from its Haslingden-based premises, revealed that selling direct to Europe rather than through distributors would be the next stage of strategic growth and would provide ‘expansion within the market’.
Highlighted within the report, the firm stated: “The main growth has been in non EU and EU sales. The non-EU exports have been as a result of continued focus on overseas markets, especially North America and the Far East.
“The company remains committed to developing these markets further and anticipates further growth.”
