Cardiff-based office design contractor Paramount Interiors has reported a second successive rise in turnover, as profit rockets to record levels.
According to the latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015, total sales grew by 53.3% to £13.8m from £9m in 2014, its highest recorded revenue growth since 2007.
Gross profit also experienced an increase of 15.7% to £2.2m from £1.9m, while operating profit swelled from £40,000 to £446,000. Overall profit for the year under review resulted in £349,000, its highest achieved return to date.
Paramount Interiors revealed that it has now become a debt free business after paying off its development loan from Finance Wales, as well as stating that its order book for the first half of 2016 already sits at over £10m.
Commenting on the results, executive chairman, Nigel Roberts, said: “There are also some tremendous opportunities opening up on Paramount’s doorstep in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport, with the new City Deal, the Metro and the electrification of the main line to London.
“I’ve also helped to champion the proposal for a business technology park in St Mellons for the last eight years, which is finally in the Local Development Plan. It’s an exciting opportunity to expand Paramount Business Park and attract new businesses to South Wales.”
