German bedroom specialist Rauch has launched a new app it hopes will help customers visualise its products in their home.
Rauch’s Configurator app uses augmented reality to reproduce the company’s 20up wardrobe system from the STEFFAN range on the screen of a smartphone or tablet.
In a statement, the company commented: “At a furniture store, it is often hard to visualise how the piece of furniture that has caught your eye is going to actually look at home.
“This is where augmented reality apps can help: they project the piece of furniture in the actual room on top a smartphone or tablet display.
“A step to the left or right automatically adjusts the perspective, making it look like the furniture really is already in its future place.”
The Configurator app is available on the Apple App store and the Google Play store by searching for ‘20up Rauch’.
