A furniture retailer has closed after weeks since its launch, leaving customers furious.
According to local source the Hull Daily Mail, Furniture King opened its doors in early October and has now closed with its shop on King Edward Street completely emptied.
The sudden closure has sent shockwaves to customers who had paid in cash for products, which are yet to receive them, as well as not being able to contact the company.
Furniture King also launched an official Facebook page, only posting three updates on 3 October 2016, but has failed to let consumers know its intentions of closing.
However, one comment on its Facebook page from a disgruntled customer said: “What an absolute disgrace to try and act as a company under the companies act 2006. As from the 18 October 2016 you are going to be dissolved in the next 2 months… I suggest you refund all monies owed to customers who have bought goods from you.”
Cabinet Maker made several attempts to contact Furniture King on the number provided but went to answer phone on each occasion.
