Multi-channel retail chain John Lewis has reported a strong week of growth across all its platforms, with furniture sales up double-digit.
According to its latest weekly sales figures to 5 November 2016, total sales grew by 9.7% to £106m. John Lewis experienced an uptick in revenues across its three core sectors, with Electrical & Home Technology and Fashion sales up by 17.6% and 8.6% respectively.
Within its Home category, sales rose by 3.7% with furniture driving sales, registering a 10% increase for the week. Another notable performer within the sector was textiles and carpets, as sales grew by 8.4%.
John Lewis confirmed that it would launch its new 2016 Christmas advertising campaign this week on 10 November as the festive season gets into full swing.
