Furniture retail brand JYSK has confirmed it plans to open a new store in Dewsbury, bringing its total UK estate to 15 outlets.
The new 7,500sq ft store, which will officially open on 8 October 2016, will be situated Railway Street and has created 10 new jobs.
Scandinavian group, JYSK confirmed that district manager Jason Stapleton would oversee the store, whilst also revealing that Gary Haley will take on the role as store manager with Paul Lee as sales and marketing manager.
Commenting on the new store, Gary Haley said: “We are very excited to be introducing JYSK to Dewsbury. We’re brand new to the town, offering fresh, Scandinavian style for people’s homes. I am looking forward to overseeing the opening of our new store on Railway Street and to serving the local community.
“Customers can expect to receive great service in-store. Our store colleagues are not commission based and instead we prefer to put Customers First. This means all customers receive great offers – our VEDDE furniture range is my favourite and just one example of this.”
Founded in 1979 by Lars Larsen in the Danish city of Aarhus, JYSK has more than 2,300 stores in 41 different countries, and first entered the UK market back in 2008.
