Department store retail chain NEXT has confirmed it plans to open a new store in Crawley next year.

The new three-story NEXT outlet will be located in the County Oak Retail Park on Langley Green and will be four times larger than its existing premises next door at the site.

Crawley Borough Council approved plans from NEXT on the extension back in 2014, which will see the retailer add a new NEXT Home area providing house furnishings, as well as including a Costa Coffee Shop, and is scheduled to open in early January 2017.

The next stage of the development process has seen NEXT submit plans to the council at the end of last month regarding advertising signage, consisting of illuminated acrylic lettering and wall mounted lettering, with the decision expected to be approved by late November this year.

Gee Tee Signs Ltd has been named as the agent for the recent proposal, whilst other stated information within the plans indicate that the new larger NEXT Home store will reduce the number of car park space at the retail site from over 500 to around 460, as well as confirming that numerous new jobs will be created upon the expansion completion.
